Guild has officially released its new Starfire I hollowbody and semi-hollow electric guitar series, with both single-cut and double-cut options, at a low price point.

Based on the Starfire II and III, the Starfire I SC single-cut offers a two-inch-thick hollow body with maple top, back and sides, plus a bridge block for improved resonance.

The model is available in an Antique Sunburst finish, while a Guild vibrato tailpiece version comes in Seafoam Green or Snowcrest White.

The double-cut, DC version packs a semi-hollow body with mahogany center block, and mahogany top, back and sides.

Cherry Red is the finish of choice for this model, and a Guild vibrato tailpiece version comes in Pelham Blue (which also offers maple back and sides).

Features common to all models include tune-o-matic bridges, 24.75” scale length, 12”-radius rosewood fingerboards and U-shaped neck profiles.

Guild’s own HB-2 Alnico II humbuckers provide the tones, and offer increased versatility via push-pull coil-splitting on each pickup.

Best of all are the prices, which start at $499:

Starfire I DC Cherry – $499
Starfire I DC GVT Pelham Blue – $599
Starfire I SC Antique Burst – $499
Starfire I SC GVT Seafoam Green – $599
Starfire I SC GVT Snowcrest White – $599
