Gretsch has teamed up with Magpie Salute and former Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson to create the new G6136T-CSTRR Rich Robinson "Magpie" Signature guitar.

The Falcon-style hollowbody guitar features a 3-ply maple body with a solid spruce top and 1959-style trestle bracing with a spruce block under the bridge, in addition to oversized F-holes. The guitar has a maple neck featuring a 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium frets and mother of pearl Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays.

Sonically, the instrument packs a TV Jones Classic Plus humbucking pickup in the bridge and a Broad’Tron BT65 pickup in the neck. The guitar's control layout features separate bridge and neck volume knobs, a three-way position toggle switch, plus master tone and master volume with a treble bleed circuit.

“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved Gretsch guitars,” Robinson said in a statement. “From Neil Young and Stephen Stills to Steve Marriott and Malcom Young, these guitars have always piqued my imagination. Sonically and visually, Gretsch guitars have always been unique in the musical landscape. To have my own signature Gretsch is an honor, and the Magpie is the combination of all of my favorite elements of Gretsch guitars.”

The G6136T-CSTRR features a silver pickguard adorned with the Magpie logo, a silver sparkle body and neck binding, plus Robinson's "Feather and Circle” symbol carved into the top and nickel hardware. Other features include Grover Imperial tuning machines, amber jeweled G-arrow control knobs, a bone nut, an Adjusto-Matic bridge with a pinned ebony base and a Bigsby B6 tailpiece with a string-thru shaft. A Gray Speckle premium hardshell case is also included.

Only 25 examples of the Gretsch G6136T-CSTRR Rich Robinson "Magpie" Signature model will be made available, at a price of $12,499 each.
