My favorite guitar practice tool just hit its lowest-ever price of $99, thanks to Positive Grid wiping nearly 40% off the Spark Neo Core
Grab an early Labor Day steal with some mega savings in the Positive Grid Fall Tone Fest sale
Labor Day weekend isn’t here just yet, but we’re already starting to see some serious sales action for guitar players happening. One such discount is on one of my top-rated practice tools for guitarists, with the Positive Grid Spark Neo Core getting a massive 38% price reduction.
That’s $60 off an awesome silent practice option, great value for any guitar player. It’s a non-wireless option, so you need to plug a guitar cable into it, but it offers an immediacy that puts as few barriers between you and playing your guitar as possible.
The PG Spark Neo Core was already a great value option for guitar players, but with a massive $60 discount, it's astounding value for money in the Positive Grid Fall Tone Fest sale. A great option for silent practice, Spark Neo Core delivers a plethora of amp and effects tones that will suit any kind of guitar player.
I reviewed the Spark Neo Core last year and found its build quality to be really great. They’re covered in a durable rubber that’s textured like guitar amp Tolex. It means they feel like a proper bit of guitar gear rather than a delicate pair of headphones, and you won’t feel bad about chucking them in a backpack to take on the road with you.
There’s no messing about with wireless syncing or connectivity; just plug your guitar cable into the headphones and the other end into your guitar and away you go. There is a fully wireless option in the Positive Grid Spark Neo, but it’s considerably more expensive, and even more so with the Neo Core at the currently discounted rate.
The feel of wearing something on your head with a guitar cable plugged into it does take some getting used to, especially if you use heavy-duty cables. I had to spend some time finding the best position for the cable, but once that was done, it was plain sailing.
Positive Grid Fall Tone Fest Sale: Up to 38% off
The Positive Grid Fall Tone Fest sale is in full swing at the moment, with savings on a number of Positive Grid products. It’s a small selection of products, but with the Spark Mini practice amp and the Spark Link wireless guitar system both seeing price reductions, it's well worth a browse for any player who wants to improve their guitar playing.
Although you can use them without the companion app, you’ll need to set it up initially to access the 33 amp simulations and 43 effects models. Once this is done, you can do away with the smartphone and change between four presets using the built-in buttons on the headphones themselves.
The sound is absolutely phenomenal, and you can tweak it to suit any style, whether you play country or heavy metal. The closed-back design of the headphones also makes them very engaging, as they block out all but the loudest external noises. With a huge array of useful practice tools built into the app, this is undoubtedly one of the cheapest ways to pick up a powerful addition to your practice regime this Labor Day weekend.
