Gibson's long-standing relationship with Slash has proven to be particularly fruitful since he was named the guitar giant's Brand Ambassador in 2017.
Since then, the Guns N' Roses guitarist and the legendary company have teamed up to create a number of noteworthy, much-buzzed-about signature models, among them the 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck and "Brazilian Dream" Les Paul.
Now, the two have unleashed perhaps their biggest collaboration to date, the Slash Collection of Les Paul Standards.
Each Slash Collection Les Paul Standard features a AAA maple top and a solid mahogany body. They're also fitted with a number of Slash's signature personal touches, including a C-shape neck profile, signature Gibson “SlashBucker” pickups, color coordinated hardware appointments, hand-wired electronics with orange drop capacitors and a vintage style brown hardshell case.
"Developing my new collection with the new team at Gibson has been really exciting,” Slash said in a press release. “The quality and attention to detail is next level, and these guitars truly reflect what I play live and in the studio. I think guitarists will be inspired by what we've put together.”
Each guitar will feature Slash’s “Scully” signature drawing on the back of the headstock, his signature on the truss rod cover, a blank truss rod cover in the case, Slash’s new Ernie Ball strings and four Slash Jim Dunlop Tortex picks
The Slash Collection Les Paul Standards will be available in November Burst, Appetite Burst, Vermillion Burst and Anaconda Burst finishes. The prices of the models have yet to be announced as of press time.
