The great Chuck Berry was born on this day, October 18, 1926. In celebration of what would have been the late guitar icon's 93rd birthday, Gibson has unveiled its new Chuck Berry 1955 ES-350T guitar.
The first ever Berry signature model, the 1955 ES-350T features a three-ply figured maple/poplar/maple Venetian cutaway hollow body, an Authentic '55 medium C-Shape three-piece walnut/maple/walnut neck and a 22-fret Indian rosewood fingerboard with double parallelogram inlays.
Sonically, the guitar packs two custom dog-ear P-90s, with two 500K CTS volume and tone knobs.
Elsewhere, the '55 ES-350T features Kluson single line/single ring tuners, a no-wire ABR-1 bridge and an engraved wire loop trapeze tailpiece.
Limited to only 55 pieces worldwide, the guitar also comes with a replica strap and a replica of the Zuni "Sun God" bolo tie that Berry wore throughout the 1950s.
The Gibson Chuck Berry 1955 ES-350T guitar is available now (though Gibson says the guitar is currently unavailable online) for a pretty penny - $14,115 to be exact.
