Back in 2015, Peter Frampton embarked on a brief acoustic tour, and in the fan-shot video above, you can watch him perform “Lines on My Face” at his show from that tour at BergenPAC in Englewood, New Jersey.
The tour, which ran for just over two weeks, featured Frampton and his son, singer-guitarist Julian Frampton, performing in intimate musical settings.
“I see this show being ‘me’ performing the songs just as I wrote them on acoustic guitar or piano,” Frampton said of the shows. “I have done a lot of shows including two or three acoustic solo pieces and always enjoy the way it draws the audience and myself closer together.”
In the performance, Frampton starts things off with a fine bit of acoustic soloing that gets the audience charged up. He then surprises them as he segues into “Lines on My Face.” The tune is one of the better known songs from his 1973 album, Frampton’s Camel. That release also featured the studio version of “Do You Feel Like We Do,” which would become a smash hit for Frampton when it appeared on his Frampton Comes Alive! album in 1976.
