Tech 21 has announced the release of its new SansAmp PSA 2.0.
A pedal version of its hugely successful SansAmp PSA rackmount unit, the PSA 2.0 - like its predecessor - features all-analog circuitry, digital programming, memory sections and knobs for Buzz, Punch, Crunch, Drive, Gain (which used to be called Pre-Amp), Low, High, Level and Trim.
Elsewhere, the PSA 2.0 packs 128 memory locations, a dual band active EQ, a Global Trim control to adjust the level of all presets and MIDI capability for calling up programs and storing program data.
Aside from its studio potential, the PSA 2.0 can be used live as a pre-amp direct into a power amp, as a direct box to a PA system, as an outboard processor and - thanks to the pedal's Performance Mode - as a three-channel stompbox.
The price and release date of the Tech 21 SansAmp PSA 2.0 have yet to be revealed as of press time.
