Morgan Amplification Announces New MVP66 Head, Combo
The all-tube MVP66 was inspired by Jimi Hendrix’s 100W stacks, Eric Clapton’s JTM45 and Angus Young’s Blues Breaker.
Morgan Amplification has announced its new MVP66 guitar amp.
Available as a head or combo, the all-tube MVP66 was inspired by Jimi Hendrix’s 100W stacks, Eric Clapton’s JTM45 and Angus Young’s Blues Breaker, and features a variable power output between 1 and 50 watts, a solid-state rectifier, two KT66 power tubes, and two 12AX7 preamp tubes.
The control sets on both the head and combo feature a bright setting that's activated by pulling the gain knob, a footswitchable boost, and gain, volume, treble, mid and bass knobs.
The sonic attack of the combo comes courtesy of a Celestion G12H75 Creamback speaker, loaded into a Baltic birch ply cab.
The Morgan MVP66 head and combo are available now – in Twilight, Driftwood and Black finishes – for $1,899.99 and $2,099.99, respectively.
