Adrian Belew is easily one of the most inventive electric guitar players to ever pick up a six-string. He’s most famous for his three decades as the lead singer and second guitarist, alongside Robert Fripp, in the almighty prog outfit King Crimson, and equally renowned for his singular contributions to the music of Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Talking Heads and Paul Simon. Belew’s recent work include scoring the soundtrack to the Pixar film Piper, an ongoing series of musical nuggets released through his über-inventive Flux app and a new album of full-length songs, Pop Sided, released earlier this year.

Belew has played just about every type of guitar on the planet, and when he’s got his signature Parker Fly in hand, absolutely anything is possible. Come hear a bona fide guitar freak kick down everything from pop to prog on the San Francisco stop of his Pop-Sided tour at a unique venue. Like Belew, the Chapel has a truly singular vibe. It’s literally a converted ex-chapel with a vaulted arched ceiling, a stellar sound system and fantastic food and drinks.

Be sure to also check out the wrap from Belew’s 2014 performance at the Chapel, which was also presented by Guitar Player
