Having already elicited "ooo"s and "aaaa"s with its new 2021 signature and custom guitars, Gibson has further detailed its new-for-2021 offerings with the announcement of its new acoustic guitar lineup.

The assortment of acoustics is headlined by new signature models for Orianthi, Slash, Tom Petty, and Noel Gallagher, with notable new additions to the company's Modern and Historic ranges also being announced.

First off is the Orianthi SJ-200, which is the former Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper guitarist's spin on Gibson's classic Super Jumbo-bodied SJ-200.

Unfortunately, we remain without photos or specs for the Slash Collection J-45, Tom Petty SJ-200 Wildflower, and Noel Gallagher J-150 models, but we hope to bring you that info soon.

In addition to its new signatures, Gibson has also expanded its Acoustic Modern collection to include the Vintage Sunburst Hummingbird Standard, Cherry J-45 Standard, J-45 Standard 12-string, and Wine Red and Autumn Burst SJ-200.

Like its Modern collection brethren, these acoustics boast classic designs with modern features like SlimTaper necks with a flatter fingerboard radius and pickup systems.

Gibson also announced an expansion of its Acoustic Custom Shop Historic collection, with the 1939 J-55, 1952 J-185, 1934 Jumbo, 1936 Advanced Jumbo, 1942 Banner J-45, 1942 Banner Southern Jumbo, and 1960 Hummingbird all joining the fold.

As opposed to the Modern collection's blend of the traditional and, well, modern, the Historic collection focuses on historical accuracy and attention to detail.

As with the signatures, we're rather short on photos and specs for the new Modern and Historic acoustics, but we'll provide those for you as soon as we receive them.

For now, point your browser over to gibson.com.
