Boss Unveils New Nextone Special Amp
This 1x12 combo features Boss’s Tube Logic technology, two independent channels and a whole lot more.
Boss has unveiled its new Nextone Special guitar amplifier.
The latest addition to the company's Nextone series, this 1x12 combo features Boss’s Tube Logic technology, which helps it emulate the tones and responses of the classic tube amps of yore. It's assisted in this task by BOSS’s new Waza B12W 12-inch speaker, which seeks to merge the tone of '60s “blue bell” speakers with more modern power handling capacity.
EL84, EL34, 6V6, and 6L6 class AB circuits, two fully independent channels, and a choice of British or American tone stacks are accessible from the amp's control panel. Users have the ability to set switchable solo levels on both channels, and activate an Extra Headroom switch on the clean channel.
Also aboard the amp are more standard boost, delay, tremolo and reverb effects.
Other features include MIDI compatibility, three selectable mic’d cab IR voicings, footswitch support, 1/4” and XLR line outputs, and Air Feel. Users can also store and recall patches with Boss’s Nextone Editor software, which can accessed via USB.
The Boss Nextone Special amp will be available in December for $899.
