Blackstar Launches HT Club 40 MkII Black and Blue Edition
New version of versatile combo amp boasts sought-after vintage 6L6GC-STR tubes and Celestion Vintage 30 speaker.
Blackstar has released its HT Club 40 MkII combo in a new Black and Blue Edition, which comes with a number of spec tweaks.
The Black and Blue Edition switches out the original’s EL34 tubes for sought-after Tube Amp Doctor vintage Backplate RCA 6L6GC tubes, promising a deeper bass and smooth top-end.
Within the baby blue tolex and tan basketweave grille, Blackstar has equipped this model with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker.
Other features include a cream panel, corners and chickenhead knobs; brown leather handle; and special edition plaque.
Aside from these changes, the amp boasts the same features as the original, including two footswitchable channels and four footswitchable voices, power reduction, digital reverb, speaker emulated output and USB out.
The HT Club 40 MkII Black and Blue Edition is available now for $899. See Blackstar Amps for more info.
