Made in the spirit of the Gibson Hummingbird — an icon of the 1960s folk era — Epiphone’s “Inspired by Gibson” Hummingbird acoustic-electric guitar closely follows the specifications of the original, with a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. And with a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle piezo pickup system onboard, it’s stage ready.

Now you can get $100 off the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird in Aged Natural Antique at Guitar Center during their Black Friday sales event. That brings the price down to just $749 for one of Guitar Center’s Top-Sellers.

Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" Hummingbird acoustic-electric: was $849 now $749 at Guitar Center

Following the classic style of the Gibson Hummingbird, Epiphone’s “Inspired by Gibson” Hummingbird acoustic-electric rings with clear, balanced tone, thanks to its premium, all-solid wood construction: a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck has a rounded “C” profile for comfortable fretting, and an Indian laurel fretboard with 20 medium frets and mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. And because it features a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Sonitone preamp, with volume and tone controls, the Hummingbird moves easily from campfire singalongs to stage work. Authentic details like an aged vintage sunburst finish, tortoiseshell pickguard and multi-ply binding give this guitar a warm, vintage played-in look, while the bone nut and saddle and deluxe gold tuners deliver both excellent sound and visual appeal.

Epiphone's "Inspired by Gibson" line offers faithful reissues and modern interpretations of iconic Gibson models, designed to offer a more authentic Gibson look, feel, and tone at a more accessible price point. Guitar Player has reviewed several models from the line and hailed them for their attention to vintage-correct details and the use of many of the same parts found on American-made Gibson acoustic and electric guitars.
