Warren Haynes is the consummate band player, but he’s also an accomplished solo performer and we can’t wait to hear what he’s got in store for the Winter of Warren tour. The special two-set solo shows will feature Haynes probing his deep and varied catalog, including songs from Gov’t Mule, the Allman Brothers Band and his solo recordings.
In September 2025, Haynes released The Whisper Sessions, a stripped-down companion album to his 2024 solo release, Million Voices Whisper. Both albums feature longtime ABB bandmate Derek Trucks on multiple tracks. Million Voices Whisper is a searing collection of blues-rock. The Whisper Sessions is an intimate compilation spotlighting Haynes’ nuanced guitar mastery, soulful voice, and heartfelt storytelling.
Then on January 30th, Megaforce Records dropped a newly remixed and remastered edition of Haynes’ debut studio album, 1993’s Tales of Ordinary Madness. The updated version offers new dimension to a critical moment in his career, and the whole album featuring new single “I’ll Be the One” is on streaming platforms now.
For the Winter of Warren tour, Haynes plans to play hits and rarities as well as a wide variety of music that inspired and influenced his singular roots-rock style. No two shows will be the same.
The 11-date trek will kick off on February 12 in Northern California. The first show is in Grass Valley, and then he’ll travel down the coast stopping in San Francisco, Napa, Santa Cruz, and Los Angeles, where he’ll perform at the new Blue Note for two nights on February 17 and 18, with two shows per night. From there Haynes heads to New Mexico and Texas.
Guitar Player’s onsite presence will be in Santa Cruz at the fabulous Rio Theatre on the day after Valentine’s, Sunday, February 15. We’ll be giving away sets of Martin strings, so bring a guitar buddy and get yours on the way in.
The Gibson artist whose first signature Les Paul became available last fall has put together some truly special Guitar Player VIP packages for each stop, including chances for players to get their hands on his signature model at the show.

“I’m psyched to be partnering with Gibson to release my signature Standard Les Paul,” Haynes says. “Being mostly a humbucker guy, I’m really loving the hum-free P-90s. It’s a cool tonal change and the clean boost offers even more tonal options. I’m looking forward to playing it in the studio and onstage.”
