AmpliTube Unplugs from the Matrix with New X-GEAR Pedals
IK Multimedia’s wares go from soft to hard as they enter the stompbox market.
Industry leaders in guitar software plugins IK Multimedia have released a brand-new range of stompboxes, taking the studio to the stage (and back again if need be!) Boasting 300 presets, each pedal is supplied with a matching virtual version for Mac or PC, along with a copy of AmpliTube 5 SE, so adjustments made in either realm can be easily saved.
There are currently four X-GEAR pedals to choose from, each covering a different area of guitar effects, including the X-DRIVE distortion, X-VIBE modulation, X-TIME delay, and X-SPACE reverb.
The X-GEAR stompboxes also conveniently function as a USB audio recording interface, complete with stereo out and full MIDI implementation. Featuring 24-bit/192kHz ultra-low noise converters, an extended frequency response of 5Hz-24kHz, and a dynamic range of up to 123dB, both wet and dry signals can be sent to your DAW in super-high fidelity.
