Guitarists gather to share their love of the electric guitar in the upcoming documentary Turn It Up, and you can watch the film teaser below.

In the film, a host of performers—including B.B. King Steve Lukather, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Slash, Jerry Cantrell, Paul Stanley, John 5, Robby Krieger, Nancy Wilson, Steve Howe and Dave Mason—tell stories about their relationship to the instrument. Shot in high-definition, the film includes performances and in-depth interviews, with narration by actor and musician Kevin Bacon.

“We’re gonna meet all kinds of people,” Bacon explains at the outset, “in an attempt to understand their emotional connection to their guitar.”

In the trailer, John 5 reveals, “When I went on my honeymoon, not only did I take my guitar, but I took my guitar tech too.”

“I was nerdy kid,” says Krieger, “until I started playing the guitar.”

Notes Slash, “All the things I can’t do verbally, I can express on the guitar—whether they get it or not.”

But it’s King who has the final word in the teaser. The blues giant, who died last May, proclaims, “I’m gonna do this ’til I die, folks.”

Turn It Up arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on January 22 via 71st Street Entertainment and can be preordered on Amazon. The package includes a bonus disc with extended interviews, mini-documentaries on RKS Guitars and Seymour Duncan, Robby Krieger improvising and Jeff “Skunk” Baxter’s performance from the film S.S. United States: Lady in Waiting, a documentary about the famed U.S. ocean liner.
