Google has been rolling out new changes to make search easier. That includes ways to get more of the stories you want from websites you love and trust, including Guitar Player.
Now you can choose which websites will feature prominently in your results for “Top Stories” and “News” and in the “From your sources” section.
Here’s how to make Guitar Player one of your trusted sources, so you can get more stories about the players, guitars, amps and gear you love.
1. Sign into your Google account and click this link.
2. Tick the box next to Guitar Player.
That’s it. You're done.
As an alternative, you can add us as you search for your favorite trending topics.
1. Look for the star
Search for a topic in Google news, such as “Oasis reunion.” If it's trending, you'll see relevant news stories in the Top Stories section, as well as an icon that looks like two overlapping cards with a star on top.
2. Click the star icon.
Choose your preferred sources in the pop-up by typing the name or URL of your favorite website. Tap “Reload results” at the bottom of the pop-up. If you want to add more sources, tap the star again and repeat.
All the latest guitar news, interviews, lessons, reviews, deals and more, direct to your inbox!
The result? Now you’ll get more coverage from Guitar Player when you search for guitar-related stories.
