Cool Video: The Easy Leaves' "Fool on a String"

September 12, 2013
In a region revered worldwide for it's wine making, the Americana scene north of San Francisco is burgeoning with talent and innovation. No one exemplifies this quite like the Easy Leaves. Proud torch-bearers for their home county and for new Country and Americana music, the guys continue to push boundaries with their infectious roots sound.

Songwriters Kevin Carducci and Sage Fifield, formed the Easy Leaves north of the Golden Gate in 2008. Their initial intent was to establish an old-time string band. However, this did not happen (at all). In love with too many different musical styles, artists as disparate as Bob Wills and Smokey Robinson slid into their songwriting. Kevin and Sage gave up their banjo habits cold-turkey and The Easy Leaves’ sound was born- A modern acoustic sound, its roots kept close to the chest while tirelessly sprawling out in new directions that stretch the borders of the Americana genre.
