Slash helped kick off the USC football game against crosstown rivals UCLA in Los Angeles this past Saturday with the assistance of the USC marching band. The top-hatted guitarist and the Trojan Marching Band delivered a triumphant rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to an enthusiastic Coliseum crowd.
With his Les Paul and a pair of Marshall amps, Slash led the audience in the National Anthem. While the marching band accompanied him, it’s a little hard to hear over the power of Slash’s amps.
Slash undoubtedly assisted the team’s home-field advantage. USC went on to win the game 40 to 21.
