Bob Dylan covered songs from Frank Sinatra’s catalog for his latest album, Shadows in the Night. So it’s appropriate that his video for the album track “The Night We Called It a Day” conjures up the black-and-white film noir style of film so popular during Ol’ Blue Eyes’ heyday.

In the video, Dylan and a friend battle for the affections of a dancer, and things don’t turn out well for some of the parties concerned.

The video includes Robert Davi, a character actor known for his gangster roles. Davi actually made his acting debut in the crime movie Contract on Cherry Street, starring Sinatra, and he has released his own album of Sinatra covers, Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance.

Enjoy this latest track from the always unpredictable Dylan.
