We’re fast approaching Labor Day weekend, and to celebrate, there are sales launching all over the web. One of the latest to launch is over at Guitar Center, where you can grab up to 30% off guitar gear, which at first might not sound like the most tantalizing offer compared to some others offering more.

GC has got a trick up its sleeve, though, and that’s offering discounts on a range of Guitar Center-exclusive gear, many with limited edition finishes that you won’t find anywhere else. Not only does that mean you’re getting a nice reduction, but it’s also on gear that others are unlikely to have, perfect for those who want to stand out.

Of course, if you prefer a traditional sunburst finish on your guitar then there are plenty of those in the sale too, but it’s hard not to have your head turned by the Ocean Perimeter AAA Flame Top of this Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V, which has got a gigantic $500 discount in the sale.

The dual TradBucker pickups are the epitome of Les Paul tone, featuring an overwound bridge pickup for plenty of punchy PAF tone, while the neck is underwound for a smoother, low-output tone. Perfect for rock and blues, you also get the addition of a push-pull tone knob, which lets you split the coils of the humbuckers for even more versatility.

If you prefer your tones a bit more reined in, the Martin Special D Classic Dreadnought is available with a humongous $149 reduction. A close cousin of the Martin D-10E, this guitar is only available at Guitar Center and comes in a more traditional format without electronics for those who prefer their guitars more vintage-inspired.

The solid Sitka spruce top provides that typically punchy, articulate tone you’d expect from a Martin, with scalloped X-bracing that allows it to vibrate freely. It results in a fantastic unplugged tone that responds beautifully to playing dynamics, whether you’re fingerpicking gently or strumming hard.

Finally, if you’re looking to make things loud, the Supro Delta King 12 tube amp has got a hefty $100 reduction. Available in a beautiful Ivory White cabinet, it’s a small amp, but it can get plenty loud when you need it to. I wouldn’t really recommend it for practice, but if you’ve got forgiving neighbors or you need something powerful yet portable, it’s a great option.

It’s got a couple of neat tricks onboard too, with a footswitchable FET-driven boost function that’s perfect for adding some heft when you really want those lead parts to sing. There’s also a Pigtronix FAT high-gain mode for players who prefer a dirtier tone, which, when engaged, really fattens up the low end for some beefy guitar tones.
