Zakk Wylde surprised fans at the Generation Axe show last night, April 11, by jumping into the crowd while furiously soloing on the Jimi Hendrix song “Little Wing.”
The show took place at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
While performing the song, Wylde suddenly came down from the stage and made a beeline toward a group on the audience floor. He continued to solo over a couple of verses, giving those nearby an up-close demonstration of his shredding chops.
The impromptu floor show was captured on video by one viewer who happened to be standing right where Zakk stopped.
The Generation Axe tour features Wylde, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi. You can find complete dates for the tour below the video. For more information, visit GenerationAxe.com.
