Watch Eric Clapton Cover Prince's "Purple Rain" in London

During the first of his three scheduled shows at London's Royal Albert Hall Monday night, Eric Clapton stunned attendees with a cover of Prince's "Purple Rain."

According to Rolling Stone, Clapton's Monday night Royal Albert Hall performance also featured a number of other rarities—with the legendary guitarist playing "Tearing Us Apart” for the first time since 2011, “Change the World” for the first time since 2004 and “Holy Mother” for the first time since 2003.

Last month, Clapton also announced that his Crossroads Guitar Festival would be returning in 2019, boasting a lineup that includes Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, Joe Walsh, Bonnie Raitt, Derek Trucks, Jimmie Vaughan, Susan Tedeschi, Gary Clark Jr and many more.
