Robert Plant made a surprise appearance at a performance by John Bonham’s sister Deborah this past weekend. The singer joined Bonham’s group for a version of Led Zeppelin’s “When the Levee Breaks” and a cover of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates’ “Shakin’ All Over” at the left Bank in Hereford, England, on Saturday night.
Bonham is a British rock and blues singer and has recorded with her nephew Jason Bonham, John Bonham’s son, who has also performed in Led Zeppelin. John Bonham died in 1980 at the age of 32 after inhaling vomit in his sleep while inebriated.
Plant makes a guest appearance on Bonham’s latest album, Spirit, which came out in 2014.
We’re including duplicates of both performances, as some clips have better-quality audio while others have higher-quality video. Take your pick.
