Hear Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" in Mash-Up with Anti-War Anthem | VIDEO

Jimi Hendrix meets soul singer Edwin Starr in the latest mash-up from Go Home Productions.

Titled “Purple War,” the track is a bootleg mix that combines Hendrix's “Purple Haze” with the Starr 1970 protest song “War.”

Go Home Productions is the alter ego of DJ Mark Vidler, who describes the mash-up as a “seasonal gift.” He has previously released mash-ups by Nirvana and Michael Jackson (“Smells Like Rockin’ Robin”), Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello (“Born to Pump It Up”), and the Police and Dire Straits (“I Can’t Stand Sultans of Swing”).
