Glen Campbell's "I'm Not Gonna Miss You"

As someone who — like many of you, I would imagine — has dealt with the tragedy and heartbreak of loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's disease, I was greatly affected by this brave and uplifting video of the last song Glen Campbell will ever record.

Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2011, and the 78-year-old music legend has been in a special care facility since April 2014.

The song — "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" — and its accompanying video make a very strong statement about Alzheimer's, as you watch moments from Campbell's life, see him recording the song in 2013 with producer Julian Raymond, and even get intimate peeks of his brain scans and doctors going over his condition. I was especially moved by the song's lines, "I'm still here, but yet I'm gone/I don't play guitar or sing my songs." Really tough stuff, but definitely on the mark for anyone who has cared for a parent, grandparent, or other individual struggling with memory issues.
