Eddie Van Halen, doing precisely what he does best.

Here's a wonderful find. This here is a 12-minute clip of Ed shredding onstage in Van Halen’s classic era. The group was touring in support of its 1982 album, Diver Down, when this live clip of Ed was shot. In it, he turns in a marathon performance as he plays without a break.

Throughout the performance, Ed employs a number of what were by then staples of his technique, including whammy-bar dive bombs and two-handed tapping. (Watch at the 9:55 mark where he charges one of the speaker towers and nearly knocks it over.)
