Def Leppard will postpone the remaining dates of their tour to allow singer Joe Elliott time to rest his voice.

The band announced the news on its website, noting that the dates were postponed “due to illness.” All shows from February 2 through 17 will be rescheduled along with the previously postponed shows from January 27 and January 30.

Drummer Rick Allen tweeted more details.

Vocal problems forced Elliott to miss a performance on Def Leppard’s Hysteria on the High Seas cruise last week, though his bandmates carried on with Last in Line singer Andrew Freeman, Mr. Big singer Eric Martin and Kip Winger filling in.

Cef Leppard have been touring behind their latest, self-titled album, which includes the singles “Let’s Go” and “Dangerous.” The group will announce new dates soon. Tickets for the 10 postponed shows will be honored at the rescheduled concerts.
