Cheap Trick Celebrate Rock Hall Induction with New Single and Free Download

Cheap Trick were named to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016 last week, and this week they’re marking the occasion by releasing a new song, “No Direction Home,” as a free download. The track is the first single from their upcoming album, Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello, and you can hear it in the video below.

“No Direction Home” sounds like classic Cheap Trick, full of Rick Nielsen’s crunchy power chords and riffs, Tom Petersson’s melodic bass work and Robin Zander’s distinctive and powerful vocals.

Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello is the group’s first album on Big Machine Label Group, a consortium of five labels whose artists include Taylor Swift, Steven Tyler, Tim McGraw and The Band Perry. The album, the group’s 17th studio release and first since 2009’s The Latest, comes out April 1.

Cheap Trick will be inducted into the Rock Hall along with Deep Purple Chicago, Steve Miller and N.W.A. at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on April 8.
