Ben Harper will kick off a fall acoustic tour in his hometown of Claremont, California, on November 6. The GRAMMY winner will be performing songs spanning his 20-year career, from his 1994 debut, Welcome to the Cruel World, to his latest #1 album, Get Up! The West Coast run — which will include a show at McCaw Hall in Seattle (November 12) and wrap up with his first performance at Los Angeles' Disney Hall (November 18) — follows his first-ever acoustic headline tour, a sold-out East Coast outing that included his lauded debut at Carnegie Hall last fall.

Harper is enjoying one of the best years of his long career. Get Up! debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues chart and has spent 24 of the last 28 weeks in the Top 10. On the new album, he teamed with legendary harmonica master Charlie Musselwhite to create a bracing 10-track song-cycle released by Stax Records/Concord Music Group. A striking mix of blues, gospel, roots and R&B, the album was entirely written or co-written by Harper, with Musselwhite's counterpoint harmonica accentuating Harper's vocals.

Harper - a musician, songwriter, producer and activist - has released eleven acclaimed studio albums and three live records since 1994. These albums combined with an unceasing commitment to international touring have helped him grow a fan base that now spans several continents. Whether it's through the soul of southern Gospel, 70s funk, blues, reggae, or straightforward rock and roll, Harper and his trademark Weissenborn guitar continue to stun audiences with incendiary live performances and timeless songwriting. A collaborator by nature, Harper has recorded and performed with a long list of artists including Natalie Maines, Rickie Lee Jones, Ringo Starr, Pearl Jam, Jackson Browne, Tom Morello, Taj Mahal, Jack Johnson, and Vanessa De Matta. His album with the Blind Boys of Alabama, There Will Be a Light, earned two GRAMMY awards for Best Pop Instrumental Performance and Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album.
