Alfred Music pays tribute to John Lennon, arguably the most influential songwriter in popular music history, with the release of John Lennon: Guitar TAB Anthology. This 25-song collection from Lennon's solo career features many of his greatest works, transcribed and arranged for guitar TAB.

More than a musician, John Lennon spent much of his life dedicated to social activism, breaking down cultural barriers, and creating art that would provide potential meaning to the world at large. In addition to this, his life also included a troubled childhood and tumultuous relationships that had a significant influence over the course of his career. John Lennon: Guitar TAB Anthology includes all new guitar transcriptions for these classic pieces that reflect Lennon’s iconic career, including “Imagine,” “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” “Power to the People,” “Instant Karma,” and “Women.” Twenty additional songs are included in this songbook from this iconic musician.

“John Lennon redefined rock music. He took it from its beginnings as lively dance music based on the common themes of teen love and angst and showed the world it could be one of the most powerful forces for social change ever imagined,” said Aaron Stang, editor of John Lennon: Guitar TAB Anthology. “We are so proud to help deliver that message in our own small way.”

John Lennon: Guitar TAB Anthology is now available for $21.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com.
