John Mayer, usually a PRS guy, chose to shake it up a little on the guitar front during Dead & Company's performance Sunday night at New York's Citi Field.

For the show, Mayer took Jerry Garcia's legendary "Wolf" guitar for a spin, using it for Grateful Dead classics such as "St. Stephen" and "High Time."

You can watch pro-shot footage of Mayer and the guitar in action below.

The Wolf guitar is one of the many iconic instruments currently on display at the Play It Loud: The Instruments of Rock and Roll exhibit at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The guitar made headlines back in 2017, when it was sold for $1.9 million at auction, making it one of the most valuable guitars ever sold at that time.
