In this video from 1992, Glen Campbell and Roy Clark show off their considerable guitar skills together by playing on one guitar.
The occasion was the Jerry Lewis’s annual telethon to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Campbell and Clark were close friends, having performed together numerous times on the TV show Hee Haw, on which Clark was a host, and on other occasions. Both were noted guitar wizards, and the pretzel-like conditions of this performance do little to cramp either man’s style.
Host Mel Tillis, himself a noted country music singer and songwriter, introduces the pair, and they quickly get to work on a 12-bar boogie.
Though the video quality is a little shaky, it’s a pleasure to see these two pros at work. Enjoy.
