Neoclassical guitarist and composer Jason Becker continues to make music and inspire others, both in his work and life. Becker was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in 1989 and given three years to live, a prognosis that he has handily beaten.
While we invite you to continue reading Jason’s thoughts in his monthly Guitar Playe r columns on creativity and inspiration, we also encourage you to enjoy this video from his heyday. Shot in 1986, it’s six minutes and 42 seconds of Becker shredding at home.
As one of the commenters notes, he’s just fooling around here—and dazzling everyone with his phenomenal talent. Enjoy
