Another 30 Shredders in One Solo — From McLaughlin to Di Meola | VIDEO

April 21, 2015
Ben Higgins is back! We recently posted the British virtuoso’s video for “30 Shredders in One Solo,” in which he imitates the styles of such masterful guitarists as Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Slash, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, Uli Jon Roth, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker, John Petrucci and many others.

In this video, fittingly titled “Another 30 Shredders,” Higgins solos in the styles of Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Stevens, Reb Beach, John Sykes, Vivian Campbell, Guthrie Govan, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, John 5, Herman Li, Warren DeMartini and several others!

“This track is just a bit of fun I cooked up,” Higgins says. “The aim was to sound like the players in some way by either emulating some of their common phrasing ideas or referencing well known solos of theirs but not to directly cover or copy anything exactly.”

When you’re finished viewing it, take a moment to check out Higgins’ latest album, Mr. Badass.
