For those opportunists who missed the spirit of the event entirely and sought to make a buck off the artists' generous offerings, Johnny Marr lashed out on Twitter. Marr noticed the two songs he released this year (a 7” cover of Depeche Mode’s "I Feel You," and a live version of the Smith’s "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want") on the Ebay auction site selling for up to $50.

He wrote:

Do not pay inflated prices for I Feel You on eBay. It's a rip off & not in the spirit of RSD. Johnny #screwthetouts

I'll try to do an extra run of I Feel You 7" singles so those who wanted it but didn't get it don't get ripped by the EBay tossers. J
