Watch B.B. King's Memorial Service as the Blues Legend Is Laid to Rest | VIDEO


B.B. King was laid to rest on Saturday, May 30, in his hometown of Indianola, Mississippi. His service, held at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church, can be viewed in the video below. The service begins about 12 minutes into the video.

King died on May 14. 

The memorial for King included tributes from President Barack Obama. The president’s tribute, read by Mississippi Congressman Bennie Thompson, said in part, “B.B. may be gone, but that thrill will be with us forever.”

Stevie Wonder also contributed a spoken tribute played at the service, and famed Fifties rocker Fats Domino performed “Amazing Grace.”
