Guitar Player columnist and guitar icon (Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel) Steve Hunter is saying goodbye to a bunch of his gear, which means guitarists everywhere can purchase some cool stuff that passed through his hands. (Or, at least, get a sneak peek at the tools used by this incredible player to make music for himself and others.)
He's NOT quitting the guitar — whew! — but he is moving from the USA to España.
"My wife Karen and I, after much deliberation and discussion, have decided to move ourselves to the south of Spain," says Hunter. "There are many reasons for this, but the most important is the fact that Karen really needs to be closer to her family. Her parents live there and her children live in England. It’s much easier and cheaper for her to see them from Spain, as opposed to from Phoenix. She moved herself here from England, and we had hoped she would have been able to have visited there more often, but it just didn’t work out that way. So it’s my turn to move for her, and I am totally cool with that. Where we are going is very close to paradise on Earth. So in preparation for the big move, which we hope will happen at the end of the year, I am selling a bunch 'o’ gear, including guitars, amps, and pedals, to lighten our load. Please check out my Reverb storefront, and feel free to share it if you like. As well as the gear that’s in the shop now, we will be adding things to it from time to time. We’ll keep you posted on our progress. I will soon be making music from the Mediterranean!"
