On Saturday December 13th, the Warren Haynes Presents: The 26th Annual Christmas Jam took over the US Cellular Center in Asheville, NC, for a night of extraordinary musical performances and special collaborations, all benefitting the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Known as one of the most celebrated and longest-running live benefit concerts in the U.S., the evening brought unforgettable moments onstage as performances went straight through to 3am in true Christmas Jam fashion. Gov’t Mule, Jason Isbell, The Revivalists, Hard Working Americans (featuring Todd Snider, Dave Schools, Jesse Aycock, Neal Casal, Chad Staehly & Duane Trucks), and Billy & The Kids (a new group formed by Grateful Dead founding member Bill Kreutzmann with Aron Magner, Reed Mathis, and Tom Hamilton) electrified the audience with stand-out performances. Special guests included Jackie Greene, American Idol winner Caleb Johnson, Oteil Burbridge, Jack Pearson, Kevn Kinney, Paul Riddle, and Love Canon.

Once-in-a-lifetime collaborations were once again at the forefront of the concert, including a band created at the Christmas Jam featuring Warren Haynes, Jack Pearson, Danny Louis (Gov't Mule), Paul Riddle (Marshall Tucker Band), and Otiel Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band). There was also a special collaboration between members of the Grammy- winning Steep Canyon Rangers & Love Canon, which was dubbed the Love Canyon Rangers.

Curated and presented by the legendary, Grammy Award-winning vocalist-guitarist Warren Haynes, the Christmas Jam has provided an opportunity for the performing artists, audience and the local community to give back during the holiday season since its inception 26 years ago. Each year during “Before the Jam, Lend a Hand,” the local community and fans participate in a hands-on way volunteering at Habitat sites, which culminates in the raising of the first wall of a house. On Friday December 12th, for the first time ever, Warren “sang up the wall” as he performed his beloved song “Soulshine” live from Soulshine Court, as volunteers and the Garcia-Sanchez family raised the first wall of a 4 bedroom/2 bath 2014 Christmas Jam House, made possible by last year’s half million dollar donation that the Jam made to the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity - marking one of the largest contributions to the organization to date. The Garcia-Sanchez family will call the house their home by next summer. Soulshine Court is located in the subdivision of Hudson Hills, named after his son. Warren Haynes Presents: The Annual Christmas Jam has benefited the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity for the past 16 years, providing help to families in need of safe, decent and affordable homes.
