Hard Work Paid Off for the Beatles

The fab four played three gigs in one day 52 years ago today.

The Beatles, who played their first gig in 1961, were gigging hard by 1962. On November 19, 1962, the suit-clad foursome played three shows at three different venues.

First, they performed a lunchtime show at the Cavern Club, Liverpool. Though this video is from a few months earlier, odds are the gig went something like this:

They then drove 85 miles to the Midlands where they performed at Smethwick Baths Ballroom.

Their last stop was at the Adelphi Ballroom, West Bromwich in Staffordshire.

It looks like all that hard work served them well. Well done, lads!
