The Empty Hearts — a hot new band filled with "friends of Guitar Player" — is bringing their old-school garage-rock to the ultra-spiffy club, The Addition (formerly Yoshi's SF), this Wednesday, November 19. Doors open at 7 pm, and the show starts at 8 pm. Click here for tickets and info on the venue.

In the Empty Hearts lineup, you may recognize GP fave Elliot Easton of the Cars in the group, as well as Chesterfield Kings bassist Andy Babiuk, another friend of the magazine who authored two of our readers' "must have" books, Beatles Gear and Rolling Stones Gear. The Empty Hearts also features one of my favorite rock drummers of all time, Clem Burke of Blondie, and vocalist Wally Palmar of the Romantics.

Check out the band right here.

Full disclosure: The Empty Hearts graciously invited my band, The Trouble With Monkeys, to open for them on November 19, so I'm really excited about shakin' the joint with some rock legends and tremendously talented musicians.

How loud and melodic and awesome and fun is it gonna be at The Addition?

Well, check out this video and see if you feel like getting into the groove!
