After what Bono's doctor's called a "high energy bicyle accident" in New York's Central Park, the singer is steadily recovering in Dublin and tour dates have been announced for the band's iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour in 2015.

On December 1st for the World AIDS Day concert, the famous frontman called upon some friends to fill in for him as he continues healing from multiple fractures. Hundreds of fans stood in the rain for the Times Square concert billed as U2 Minus 1. Bruce Springsteen and Chris Martin of Coldplay took center stage, with Martin sporting a shirt that read "Substitu2." Springsteen performed "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and Martin sang "Beautiful Day" and "With or Without You."

During the upcoming tour, U2 will play indoor arenas for the first time in a decade and will visit 19 cities worldwide with pairs of shows in each city. Tickets for all shows will go on general sale on Monday, Dec. 8, and as usual, there is an exclusive priority presale for U2 Fan Club subscribers at U2.com, from Thursday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. through Saturday, Dec. 6 at noon (all times local).

In addition, special shows are being planned for Dublin for the end of next year – to benefit the U2-initiated Music Generation project - details of which will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two,” said Bono, “and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed!”

The Live Nation tour follows the recent release of U2’s thirteenth studio album Songs Of Innocence by Island Records.
