AC/DC Will Headline Opening Nights of Coachella 2015

Head to the California desert in April to see AC/DC on their 'Rock or Bust' Tour.

AC/DC has been strongly rumored as a possible headliner for Glastonbury in 2015, but while festival goers are still waiting to hear the Glastonbury line-up, AC/DC surprised fans today by announcing that they'll be headlining the opening nights of Coachella April 10th and 17th.

The dates support the band's latest album "Rock or Bust" which debuted in the top 5 of the U.S. album charts after its December 2nd release.

When they take the stage, it will have been nearly six years since AC/DC played in the U.S. during the Black Ice Tour.

Angus Young hasn't said if drummer Phil Rudd would be playing Coachella or the rest of the tour; telling The Pulse of Radio, “The guy’s got to be in condition to do this job, you know. We don’t want to be in that position of canceling this thing 'cause if you put together a lot of stuff you don’t want somebody saying, ‘Oh yeah, maybe I’ll be here, maybe I won’t.’ I’ll say this: there’ll be a good drummer there.”

No possible replacements have been publicly named.
