Washburn, Randall & Eden Artists, Darkest Hour, Headline Summer Slam ’08 in the Philippines

Washburn and Randall artist Mike Schleibaum and Eden artist Paul Burnette and their band Darkest Hour headlined a major rock festival April 26 – 27 at Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City, Philippines. Pulp Summer Slam is the Philippine's biggest annual rock event, with a draw of over 25,000 fans. Schleibaum used his new custom snakeskin Washburn Idol WI590 through his Randall RM100 amplifier with XTC, KH2 and Blackface modules. Burnette put his bass through his Eden WT800/D810XLT rig. Below are a few shots from the event.

A fan shows his enthusiasm for
Mike’s guitar.

“Rocking in the Philippines was awesome! My Snakeskin Idol (dude 3), My Sunburst idol (dude 2), and my Wash-burn Dime Southern Cross made the trip with me. All played great and held up well. That says a lot considering the people who handle guitars at the airport are maybe WORSE then drunk roadies! The show was sick - circle pits and high fives were a plenty!”
- Mike

Darkest Hour originally formed in 1995. Mike was one of the founding members of the band and the original guitarist, while Paul joined the band in 2001. In 2007, Mike started playing Washburn guitars and Randall amps and Paul started playing his Eden bass rig. Darkest Hour released their CD “Deliver Us” last July and is set to play at shows in South America and the U.S. this summer. Be sure to check out Mike and Paul playing their Washburn, Randall and Eden gear at a club near you.
