Shawn Lane Memorial Benefit Concert

On August 28th of this year, a benefit concert in memory of legendary Memphis musician, guitarist, and composer Shawn Lane will be held at the New Daisy Theatre located on world-famous Beale St.

Many of Shawn's musician friends from around the world will be donating their performance for this great tribute. The event time is 6pm until closing, and admission is $25 at the door. Various merchandise will also be available. Credit cards cannot be accepted at this event.

The list of performers includes Black Oak Arkansas, Barry Bays, Tommy Burrous, Joe Chawki, DDT Reunion (North Mississippi Allstars), Ed Degenaro, Joe Duke, Craig Erickson, Free World, Brett Garsed, Ray Gomez, Johnny Holiday, Jimi Jamison, Stan Lassiter, Lord Tracy, Jason Macedo, Chris Nix, Jon Paget, Kevin Paige, Tommy Priakos, Sean Rickman, Rob and the Rage, Ross Rice, John Roth, Jeff Sipes, Val Suarez, Andy Timmons, and other guest appearances.

The main mission of this event is to provide an opportunity for all of Shawn’s friends and fans to join together in a celebration of his life and music. This event will also raise funds for Shawn's family to help offset expenses incurred from Shawn’s funeral, cemetery plot, and marker. Also, there are expenses resulting from ongoing legal matters, as they deal with various issues in regards to caring for Shawn’s estate.

Lastly, the Lane family seeks to secure Shawn’s rightful place as a legendary musician in Memphis Music history, as well as preserve his musical legacy to the world.
