Scott Rouse

Multi-instrumentalist and producer Scott Rouse began his career working as a session musician in Boston while attending the famed Berklee College of Music. “When I was at Berklee,” Rouse recalls, “I got hooked up with Michael Jonzun and Maurice Starr, the two guys responsible for New Kids on the Block and New Edition. We made lots of R&B and dance records, and I spent more time in the studio than in the classroom.” Now based in Nashville, Rouse applies his well-honed production sense to the bluegrass world, making records with the likes of Rob Ickes and Blue Highway, Jerry Douglas, and Alison Krauss, as well as such bluegrass and country legends as Doc Watson, Del McCoury, and Charlie Daniels.
