MSFriends Introduces MS Guitar Pick Necklace to Raise Awareness to Help People Living With MS

This year, MSFriends launched its ultra-cool Guitar Pick Necklace in Bloomingdale’s, and on their website at

“We are aligning ourselves with many well known musicians, celebrities, and rock & roll photographers who are wearing the Rock for MS Necklace to help spread our word that people living with MS are not alone” says Amelia Davis, founder and president of MSFriends.

Many well known faces are donning the Rock for MS Necklaces including Josh Todd from Buckcherry, DJ Paul from Three 6 Mafia, Catherine Oxenberg, Weezer, Kings of Leon, Andy Dick, NFL superstar Dennis Smith, Velvet Revolver’s Matt Sorum, and many others.

“We are trying to appeal to the younger population with a cool piece of jewelry that will make the younger generation aware that this chronic illness does not discriminate, and the average age of diagnosis is 30, yet can be diagnosed in people as early as in their teens,” says Davis.

Because MS targets a young demographic MSFriends wants to reach out to that population in a fun, hip and attractive way that will take accessorizing to a whole new level. MSFriends has aligned itself with internationally recognizable musicians who will lend their names to MSFriends for a Limited Edition, A Rock for MS Necklace that will feature the celebrity’s signature or likeness. The non-profit organization has a new product in the works, a trendy solid Sterling Silver Rock for MS guitar pick necklace that will distribute to upscale department stores, chic boutiques, and well trafficked Internet sites that will help expand the goals of MSFriends.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds for the Rock for MS Necklaces benefit The VisionWorks Foundation, Inc. / MSFriends. The VisionWorks Foundation, Inc. / MSFriends Initiative is a grant and donor-supported non-profit offering the first 24/7 telephone helpline, which links people to assistance, vital information, and education about the disease. MSFriends connects people in need of help with others who have learned to live and thrive with Multiple Sclerosis. MSFriends takes the next step to reaching beyond the Internet by providing people living with MS and their families a 24-hour, direct peer-to-peer assistance program during times of crisis. MSFriends volunteers are helping to empower and educate callers and in doing so let them know that they are not alone.
