Guitar Player presents Matt Blackett at First Act Guitar Studio in Boston, Wednesday, Feb. 28!

Matt Blackett is a guitarist, an instructor, and the Associate Editor for Guitar Player magazine. Matt draws on his loves of gear, music, and teaching to write product reviews, artist profiles (Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, John Frusciante, and Tom Morello), and teaches thousands of guitarists each month with his instructional pieces for Guitar Player. Matt comes to First Act for a special face-to-face Guitar Player magazine guitar clinic. Admission is free and open to the public.

6-string Secret Weapons for the Studio and Stage...

Matt Blackett shows you how to take simple concepts and use them to breathe new life into your progressions.

By harnessing the inherent power of harmonics, open strings, and open-voiced chords (as well as a few other nifty tricks), you can turn even run-of-the-mill tunes into real showstoppers.

These techniques will spice up your own recorded tracks in amazing ways and they’ll get you called back for sessions again and again.

Whether you’re a beginning, intermediate, or advanced player, this clinic has something to inspire you.

This event starts promptly at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28.

Admission is free and open to the public.
