Guitar Player is proud to work with Goldenvoice to present the world’s most popular ukulele player at the venerable Warfield Theatre on Market Street in San Francisco smack dab in the midst of the Holiday Season.

Jake Shimabukuro is redefining the boundaries of his instrument and the genre of ukulele music in general with each new album, and he is currently supporting Peace Love Ukulele. In the November issue of Guitar Player, associate editor Matt Blackett wrote:

“The Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele is back… In addition to his own compositions, Jake delivers an astounding version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” that might just rival his game changing rendition of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” the YouTube video for which is currently at almost 9,000,000 views.”

Shimabukuro’s live performance prowess has led him to, well, the Warfield Theatre! Few instrumental acoustic performers on any instrument—let alone one such as the ukulele that was formerly seen as somewhat of a novelty— could electrify such a grand venue. Shimabukuro can do, and the Hawaiian native attracts tons of fanatic Bay Area uke-heads, so secure your tickets immediately for this completely reserved seating event.

·Watch Jake get his Galileo on in this live version of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

·See the performance that started it all.
