Converse Inc. recently opened the doors to its new recording studio Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY, fully outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments supplied by Guitar Center. Converse tapped the company to be the sole partner of the studio and provide Converse Rubber Tracks with high-end recording equipment and gear that emerging bands might not otherwise have access to, at no cost.
Additionally, Guitar Center enlisted technical expertise via GC Pro, the outside sales division of Guitar Center that focuses on the needs of professional users. GC Pro provided guidance as Converse was putting together the studio, ensuring that Converse Rubber Tracks has everything it needs to be a high-quality recording studio. This unique partnership was the perfect opportunity for two like-minded brands to provide musicians a chance to work alongside a team of experienced engineers and create original music.
"We are very excited to partner with Guitar Center for Converse Rubber Tracks," said Geoff Cottrill, Chief Marketing Officer of Converse. "Our mutual goal to provide dedicated musicians with the opportunity to create original music made teaming up an easy decision. With Guitar Center we are able to give artists the opportunity use and learn about state-of-the-art equipment and instruments that they may not otherwise have access to."
As an exclusive feature of the new studio, Guitar Center has provided Rubber Tracks with the Ocean Way HR2 large-format monitor system, making the studio the only one in all of New York City to offer the use of the high-quality system designed by multi-GRAMMY award-winning producer/engineer Allen Sides. In addition, high-quality guitars and amps by Fender, Gibson, Ernie Ball, Blackstar, VOX, Marshall, Taylor and Schecter, among others, will also be available for all musicians.
"Converse Rubber Tracks perfectly exemplifies Guitar Center's commitment to developing opportunities that provide emerging artists with the ability to further their careers," says Dustin Hinz, Director of Music and Entertainment Marketing for Guitar Center. "Through the expertise of our GC Pro division and the involvement of many of our top vendors, we're ensuring that every musician involved has the opportunity to create the best recording they possibly can on the most premium equipment available."
